Miley Cyrus's Hollywood Bowl opener "Orbit" gets its own release

A single black-and-white close-up carries the love song, and viewers are already asking whether a full visual album is on the way.

No. 16 on the song chart

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 582,264 views a day, 20 times a normal first day on this channel (29,065).

MILEY - Orbit

The camera hardly moves in "MILEY - Orbit." Miley Cyrus, in a white tank top against a black backdrop, sings the whole love song straight into the lens. Alastair McKimm's black-and-white direction leaves the drama to her face and hands.

The light flickers and brightens as the chorus arrives. She closes her eyes as her voice pushes into the hook and presses both hands to her chest. During the bridge she lifts them to her cheeks and neck. She finishes softly, eyes back on the camera, before the screen cuts to black.

In a separate post the same day, Cyrus calls it the video from her show opening at the Hollywood Bowl, a venue she says she has adored for a long time. Opening those nights with "Orbit" was unforgettable, she writes, and she credits the crowd's energy and love.

Half a day after it went up, the video had passed 400,000 views. A new upload on this channel usually gathers around 30,000 in its whole first day.

The comment section spans generations. Several viewers mention being in their fifties and seventies, and others say the song could describe their own relationship. A running question is whether "Orbit" belongs to a full visual album, the treatment Cyrus gave Something Beautiful in 2025. The video itself offers no hint either way. It is just her, the dark and the song.
