Sia adds 100,000 subscribers between releases

With no new uploads, an animated "Unstoppable" lyric video supplies stars, doodles and a warp-speed light tunnel.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Sia - Unstoppable (Lyric Video)

Sia's channel had nothing new on the upload calendar, but its subscriber audience grew anyway. About 100,000 subscribers joined over the week, bringing the total to 25.3 million. Bruno Mars recorded the same weekly gain, while Ed Sheeran and Michael Jackson had unchanged subscriber totals.

The viewing story has a smaller, more colorful focal point: "Sia - Unstoppable (Lyric Video)." Posted in August, it is approaching a million views and has the strongest daily momentum among the highlighted uploads. There is no dancer or live performance here. Glowing stars give way to handwritten words and face doodles, then a multicolored light tunnel carries the choruses.

Two Team Sia posts also remain active: "Nobody was ready for Elastic Heart - Team Sia" and "Dusk Till Dawn, stripped - Team Sia." They keep familiar songs in circulation alongside the newer lyric animation.

That animation is only one corner of "Unstoppable" on the channel. The separate "Sia - Unstoppable (Official Video - Live from the Nostalgic For The Present Tour)" has accumulated close to 900 million views, giving the song a very different visual home as well.
