The pastor is mid-scripture when people begin running down the aisle. Others leave their seats and follow, until he has to interrupt the rush: "Okay, stop, stop, it's a game!"

Paul Bernard II shared the church-prank clip, which drew an estimated half a million views in its first day, more than a hundred times his usual start for Shorts. This is footage of a pastor and congregation, not Paul Bernard II delivering a sermon.

The joke turns on how quickly movement spreads through the room. A few runners are enough to get others heading for the exits; afterward, the pastor walks across the stage smiling as the congregation begins to realize what happened.

Viewers keep returning to the people who run without first looking around. Others imagine how difficult it would be to settle back into the service without laughing, while one recounts a different church prank involving a congregation hiding during worship.

The clip offers a different kind of church activity from Paul Bernard II's previously featured guitar-solo dance break: here, the pastor's microphone becomes the means of calling everyone back.
