Rako puts a sister at the center of its biggest Short

A last-second rescue tops the animation channel's catalog as it adds roughly a quarter-million subscribers in seven days.

Why this story? The channel went from 401,000 to 653,000 subscribers this week.

Who does the rescuing in Rako's animated world? Sometimes a snowman, sometimes a scarecrow, but the channel's most-watched Short gives that role to a sister.

"His Sister SAVED Him At The Last SECOND 😱," posted on Monday, tops a catalog full of improbable escapes. It also anchors a week in which Rako added roughly a quarter-million subscribers, growing its subscriber count by more than half.

The channel makes dramatized animated stories, not documentary accounts of extraordinary rescues. Its own description says some draw inspiration from real events while others are invented, with scripts, animation, voiceovers and sound built for entertainment.

The sister story isn't the only rescue drawing attention. Rako's "ugly tree" Short has passed ten million views, giving another unlikely protector a substantial audience. Among the newer uploads, a brother saves his sister from a mirror monster, while a puppy gets its own last-second intervention.

Not every premise offers an escape, though. A giant elephant that never tries to leave and a teacher delivering a lesson with a jar widen this week's lineup beyond Rako's recurring rescue formula.
