Rako turns a mannequin into a nighttime threat
The creeping-mannequin Short stands out as the animated-story channel adds roughly 320,000 subscribers in a week.
Rako
Story of Why this story? The channel went from 426,000 to 746,000 subscribers this week.
A mannequin that moves closer every night is a different kind of trouble for Rako. The channel's titles often promise a last-second rescue; this one builds its hook around something that should not move at all.
The animated Short has reached more than eight million views since its October 17 release, with a first-day pace far above Rako's usual Shorts. It is a standout in a week that enlarged the channel's subscriber count by roughly three-quarters.
These are dramatized stories, not reports of real encounters. Rako says some draw inspiration from actual events and others are invented, with the team handling scripts, animation, voiceover, editing and sound itself.
The mannequin also offers a change from the family rescues filling Rako's recent titles. Other uploads put a sister up against the Lamp Man, have a shadow save a sibling, and promise an escape from freezing forever. A separate animated predicament, "He Woke Up HANGING Above The CLOUDS 😱," has also passed a million views.
For all those impossible dangers, Rako's most-watched Short still gives the rescue job to someone familiar: a sister.
