Rako gives an "ugly tree" a last-second rescue role
The animated-story channel has passed half a million subscribers, with a woodland warning also drawing an unusually large audience.
Why this story? The channel went from 348,000 to 537,000 subscribers this week.
Rako's subscriber count has grown by more than half in seven days, adding roughly 190,000 subscribers. That takes the animated-story channel past half a million, with another unlikely rescuer joining its collection: an "ugly tree."
The tree-rescue Short has drawn far more views than Rako's usual early audience. Its premise extends a recognizable thread in the channel's titles: something dismissed or unexpected becomes the thing that saves someone at the last second. A gnome featured earlier; this time, a tree gets the role.
These are dramatized animated stories, not footage of actual rescues. Rako says some tales draw inspiration from real events and others are invented, with scripts, animation, voiceovers and sound created for its versions.
The tree isn't the only woodland story drawing attention. A ranger's warning about screaming in the woods has also had an unusually fast start. Among the other recent setups are a dog barking at a closet every night and someone trapped inside a water slide, ordinary surroundings turned into miniature suspense stories.
