Rosanna Pansino takes viewers through her fridge, her small bedroom and a coffee station on top of a bar cart. Without access to her studio, she is making videos from the apartment she now shares with her mother, and she wants viewers to know the production will look different.

"So, I just really wanted you guys to know that I'm back. My content is going to be far from perfect," she says, sitting beside the sofa with her dogs nearby. She has assembled a new management team, but for now, simpler equipment is part of the arrangement.

"Life Update," the most-watched of her two uploads this week, explains the birthday boat accident in which she broke her jaw in four places. Surgery and a continuing liquid diet have left this food creator missing solid meals. Travel clips from Nashville, Seattle and New York accompany the personal catch-up, which also includes a sponsored Quince segment.

The apartment setup has prompted some viewers to recall the early Nerdy Nummies kitchen. Their comments make a specific distinction: elaborate production wasn't what brought them to her recipes in the first place.

The channel added about five million views over the week, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Daily viewing is nearly half again its usual level. Among nearby food channels, Joshua Weissman and Max the Meat Guy had much larger weekly viewing gains; Pansino remains the largest by subscribers in that group.

The return vlog now carries far more daily momentum than her older restaurant-food taste test and pickle-candy upload. Her second new post, "Life Update... Breaking My Jaw," puts the recovery itself in the title.
