Dominion's announce cinematic passes five million on StarCraft's quiet shelf
Twenty-seven days after Blizzard's call to the Sons and Daughters of the Dominion, the trailer is still doing nearly all the channel's work.

STARCRAFT | Announce Cinematic | Dominion
StarCraft posted nothing new, and it hardly needed to. "STARCRAFT | Announce Cinematic | Dominion" went up 27 days ago and has now passed five million views. It is still bringing in more than half of everything the channel draws each day.
The description reads like a recruitment poster written in capitals. The sons and daughters of the Dominion held the line when mankind needed them, it says, and now the call comes to you. The channel's own about text strikes the same note: "JOIN THE DOMINION. DEFEND MANKIND." The Dominion is the Terran empire Arcturus Mengsk built on the ruins of the Confederacy, so a pitch from inside it lands with some irony for anyone who played the original campaign.
Mengsk himself is the second name on the shelf. His Co-op Commander trailer from StarCraft II is nearly seven years old and still turns up every day, a tyrant who keeps finding new viewers. A BlizzCon 2026 Legacy Match from the Classic Cup, played in StarCraft Remastered, sits further back.
The channel ran a little below its usual pace, with no new subscribers over the seven days. Among game publishers and esports channels of similar size it still had the second-biggest week for views. Only 100 Thieves Valorant drew more, by a wide margin, while Fortnite Competitive and Jurassic World Evolution 3 were far quieter than usual.

Arcturus Mengsk leads the Terran Dominion in StarCraft. What was the name of the rebel group he led before it?
The channel's own description of his Co-op Commander trailer calls Mengsk the leader of the Sons of Korhal, the group that brought down the Terran Confederacy.
