Are premium eggs worth it? The Iced Coffee Hour asks Joshua Weissman

The chef's rapid-fire food verdicts sparked a farm-egg discussion beneath the week's most-watched new upload.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Are Expensive Eggs Actually Better? 🍳Are Expensive Eggs Actually Better? 🍳

Joshua Weissman doesn't need much thinking time when Graham Stephan asks whether expensive eggs are worth buying. "No. Because they all do the same thing," he answers in "Are Expensive Eggs Actually Better? 🍳" on The Iced Coffee Hour.

The conversation quickly moves through MSG, truffle oil and Wagyu, with Weissman calling the beef overrated and questioning whether truffle oil earns its place. But the eggs give viewers the most to chew over. Several distinguish premium supermarket cartons from eggs bought directly from farmers; others bring up keeping their own chickens or choosing eggs for animal-welfare reasons. Those are different buying decisions, not just different price tags.

The excerpt reached roughly 322,000 views, the largest audience among the week's ten new uploads. Another Weissman clip concerned a rejected brand deal, while the money side of Graham Stephan and Jack Selby's podcast covered DoorDash, taxi earnings and a lengthy CEO interview. That sponsored interview ranges from getting products into major retailers to a blind energy-drink tasting.

The strongest daily momentum belongs to something just outside the week's releases: "$50 vs. $3,000 Chef's Knife," which has crossed a million views. The CEO interview follows closely in daily views, with the egg discussion also remaining busy.

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, while the channel added about 11 million views. That was the largest weekly view gain among its nearby business-channel peers, including Good Work and CNBC Make It, although its own daily viewing is currently a little below normal. For a finance-rooted podcast, the kitchen continues to supply a substantial part of the conversation.

  • Wagyu is compatible with asian portion for protein. It gives you that flavour bomb for a small portion of beef. Its best for yakiniku and teppanyaki but i dont think its particularly best for steak.
