Aaron Rheins tests mid-air collisions, but the plane stays intact
A multiplayer biplane experiment became the most-watched release in a fifteen-upload week.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Microsoft Flight Sim Added Mid-air Collisions…
Aaron Rheins turns on the collision setting, lines up a biplane encounter with a viewer and asks the obvious question: does Microsoft Flight Simulator finally have visible crash damage?
The answer arrives as a black screen and an immediate reset, rather than a battered aircraft. "And that is horribly disappointing," he says. The brief test, "Microsoft Flight Sim Added Mid-air Collisions…", has drawn roughly 930,000 views, the largest audience among his new uploads this week. In the comments, viewers keep drawing the same distinction: aircraft making contact is not quite the crash physics they were hoping to see. Others compare the feature with combat flight simulators.
It was a gaming detour within a busy aviation schedule. Aaron posted fifteen uploads, including coverage titled "F-22 Controls Fighter Drone for First Time" and "Lufthansa's LAST A340-600 Flight". Both drew substantial audiences, though neither reached the collision test's total.
Across the channel, the week added about 17 million views while subscribers stayed unchanged. The daily viewing pace is now well below Aaron's usual level. Nearby aviation channels offer a mixed picture: Captain Steeeve is running above his usual daily audience, while Mentour Pilot is quieter than usual.
Aaron's freshest momentum has already shifted elsewhere. "747s Get a Mustache" is drawing views fastest among his active uploads, followed by "Fly Dubai Captain Gives First Public Interview". The simulator's reset screen supplied the week's biggest new-upload audience; the mustached jumbo jets supply its newest curiosity.

I think if you turn off the crash damage where it blacks out after crash it will just spin out of control
