FarFlight's captain has an imaginary airplane race to announce
A comic audio overlay turns a neighboring aircraft into a challenger, while viewers ask for the context behind the window footage.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 226,511 views a day, 6.1 times a normal first day on this channel (37,267).
The Pilot Said WHAT Now? 💀✈️
The fasten-seatbelt sign comes back on, but the explanation isn't turbulence. In FarFlight's latest comedy edit, the captain's voice has decided the airplane outside the window wants a race.
The Short, titled "The Pilot Said WHAT Now? 💀✈️", pairs passenger-cabin footage with an overlaid announcement. It is an aviation joke, not footage establishing that two airliners actually raced. A narrator introduces a premise about Gen Z pilots before the view switches to another aircraft flying parallel below.
"If you look to the right side of your aircraft, you will notice flight 198 challenging us to a race," the captain's voice says. The seatbelt announcement then supplies the punchline.
The upload has drawn roughly 215,000 views in less than a day, a much faster start than FarFlight's usual Shorts. It brings a lighter subject to a recent lineup featuring an engine failure, a cabin removal and cockpit-radio jokes.
In the comments, viewers ask what the original footage shows and question whether the announcement belongs to it. One also pushes back on the generational setup: a Gen X pilot could make the same joke.
