Mentour Now! examines reported cockpit attack on FlyDubai flight
The episode has passed a million views as the aviation channel's daily audience climbs far above its usual level.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 482,016 views a day, 8.4 times a normal day (57,400).
Mentour Now! has drawn nearly half a million views in a day, more than eight times its usual daily total. Alongside that jump, its latest FlyDubai episode has crossed a million views just two days after publication.
"The FlyDubai Story Just Got Even CRAZIER!" examines a reported incident aboard a Dubai-Tel Aviv flight on September 30. The channel's description recounts an attack on the captain with a crash ax and says the aircraft was subsequently put into a nosedive. The episode sets out to examine what happened and what is known about it.
That is a sharp change of subject from the airport-expansion problem we covered here earlier. Mentour Now!, the sister channel to Mentour Pilot, ranges across aviation's business and technical questions. Its preceding upload asked how airports such as Heathrow and LaGuardia can grow when there is no room left around them; this one turns to a reported emergency inside the cockpit.
