Diesel Creek's 1956 Euclid scraper reaches the finish line
The completion upload follows an earlier paint-color question, as the heavy-equipment channel draws far more daily views than usual.
Why this story? The whole channel is running at 777,046 views a day, 6.2 times a normal day (125,177).
The paint color was once a question. Completion is now the headline for Diesel Creek's Euclid scraper, with a new upload announcing the end of months of work on the 1956 machine.
The video has reached roughly 627,000 views since its October 20 release. Alongside it, the channel's daily viewing has climbed to more than six times its usual pace, a substantial lift for a channel built around reviving, repairing and restoring heavy equipment.
The Euclid gives that rise a project with some history behind it. An August upload asked whether the S7 scraper had received the wrong paint color; the new title, "After Months of Work, This 1956 Euclid Scraper is FINALLY FINISHED!!", replaces that uncertainty with a declared finish.
Scrapers have also supplied another recent subject: a pair of long-idle Caterpillar 621s, introduced with the question of whether they would run. For the Euclid, at least, Diesel Creek has moved beyond the will-it-run premise to calling the work done.
