I Corked a Bat with Bouncy Balls...

"I Corked a Bat with Bouncy Balls..." is the video doing the work on The Baseball Bat Bros, the channel that promises "Honest bat reviews for the people!" It is eleven days old, it has passed three and a half million views, and no new upload arrived over the past seven days to take its place.

The idea runs through the channel's whole recent run. A few days before it, "We Put Bouncy Balls Inside a Baseball Bat..." tried the trick with three fillings, the description lists bouncy balls, spray foam and rubber turf pellets, and in August "I Made a Wood Bat as Illegal as Possible" set out, in its own words, to cheat in every way possible. Its tags run through cork, pine tar and a jumbo barrel. Corking is the old big-league sin of hollowing out a bat and stuffing it with something lighter; the brothers keep asking what happens when the stuffing bounces.

Without anything new, the channel is running at about half its usual daily pace, though the week still added more than six and a half million views. Subscribers held steady. Among the American sports creators around its size, Hayden Jones is having the big week, at more than three times his usual daily views, while Quarterback Plug and Coach Schuman are a little quieter than normal. The Bat Bros sit in the middle of that group by views gained.

The illegal-bat trilogy, if that is what it is, keeps finding hitters curious about what is inside.
