Some viewers pictured a giant screen protector going across the windshield. Digital Doctor's actual assignment is a little more manageable: protecting the dashboard display in a customer's new pickup.

The technician walks out from the shop, congratulates the customer on his truck and settles into the driver's seat to unpack the glass. "It protects against scratches and stuff mostly, you know," he explains.

The Short drew roughly 560,000 views in its first day, more than seven times Digital Doctor's usual Shorts start. The comments were also several times busier than usual, with viewers joking about the seemingly limitless range of screens he will cover. Others say they hadn't considered putting a protector on a vehicle's display.

It's a change of workspace for a channel whose recent jobs include a customer's soldering attempt and a swollen battery. Here, aligning the glass and wiping down the display happen alongside an ordinary customer catch-up, including the technician's search for a new shop location.

Once the display is clean, the customer insists on giving him cash and hands over more equipment to work on. The parking-lot call ends with another job coming back to the shop.
