Lambros reaches a million subscribers on its cancer-fundraising mission
The brothers' audience milestone comes as treadmill training continues for their November endurance challenge at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium.
Why this story? The channel passed the 1,000,000 subscribers mark.
The brothers behind Lambros have promised their grandma they will raise a million dollars for cancer. Their channel has now reached a separate million: subscribers.
That distinction matters. This is an audience milestone, not an announcement that the fundraising target has been met. Lambros has added roughly 46,000 subscribers over the past week, carrying the channel across the mark that was still within sight when we reported here earlier this month.
Their latest upload, "24km Treadmill Half Marathon🚀", brings the preparation back to a less glamorous setting than their overseas runs. In the description, one brother recounts spending almost three hours on the treadmill, finishing dizzy and with exhausted legs. They connect the effort to cancer awareness and their grandma's experience with the disease.
The treadmill is also central to the challenge ahead: the brothers plan to share a single machine for a thousand-kilometer run over seven days at Marvel Stadium in November. In their announcement, they admit they do not know whether they can complete it. What they have made clear is the personal promise behind the attempt: raising money for cancer in their grandma's honor.
