"I'm finna take a lap": Paul Bernard II's church sprint

A speaker's invitation brings other churchgoers along, while the Short draws a much faster audience than usual.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 100,641 views a day, 18 times a normal first day on this channel (5,477).

Paul Bernard II's latest church-service clip begins with a request for praise and quickly turns into a group run. Behind a clear lectern, a speaker in a red shirt calls to the congregation, then announces: "I'm finna take a lap!"

He leaves the platform with a shout of "Glory!" As organ music plays, other attendees run behind him across the front of the stage. His invitation, "Can somebody join me?", does not go unanswered.

The Short drew about 100,000 views in its first day, roughly eighteen times the channel's usual Shorts start. The comment section was more than five times as busy as usual, too. Viewers keep returning to the people joining in and the detail that the speaker takes the microphone along for the run.

The channel mixes Christian encouragement with church humor, and this clip puts the congregation's participation at the center. Where the seated singer we wrote about here previously held the camera's attention from his pew, this speaker gives it someone to follow across the sanctuary.
