5 killed, 3 injured, including 2 MPD officers after crash in Hickory Hill, MPD says
FOX13 Memphis attached a disturbing-content warning to its only new upload of the week: surveillance footage of a crash in Hickory Hill. The station reports that five people died and three others were injured, including two Memphis Police Department officers.
Published October 12, the report has drawn about 11,000 views. It is also the most active of the channel's highlighted uploads, drawing substantially more daily viewing than its older reports on the deaths of two University of Mississippi students and a kidnapping investigation. The surveillance video's description does not establish responsibility for the crash.
Across the channel, weekly viewing reached roughly 351,000 views, and the subscriber audience grew. The daily viewing pace is nevertheless running at a little over half its usual level. That distinction matters: a slower day does not erase the week's audience gains.
Among the nearby local-news channels, WKRN News 2 had a particularly substantial week of viewing and is running above its usual daily pace. FOX13 Memphis sits at the smaller end of that group in both subscribers and weekly views, with its new Hickory Hill report now the most active part of its recent coverage.
