Federal agents search Rep. Ilhan Omar's home

A Washington news report drew the largest audience among CBS Pittsburgh's uploads this week, while the station's local reporting kept Allegheny County's working conditions and weather in view.

"Federal agents search Rep. Ilhan Omar's home" reached about 25,000 views in its first four hours. KDKA reports that ICE's investigations unit searched the representative's Washington, D.C., home early Monday. Omar's office said she had done nothing wrong and described the search as an abuse of power targeting political enemies.

The station posted fifteen videos during the week. Elsewhere in that mix, Andy Sheehan reports on understaffing and forced overtime at Allegheny County Jail, and First Alert Meteorologist Ray Petelin supplies the Pittsburgh-area forecast. A separate entertainment report covers a social-media dispute between Kelly Clarkson and a Brooklyn small business.

That Clarkson report has the strongest current daily viewing pace among the videos with available rates, followed by Sheehan's jail report. Talk Pittsburgh offers a different sort of pressure in "How to know if you've fallen into the self improvement trap," asking whether constantly working on yourself can backfire.

The channel passed 240 million lifetime views and added subscribers over the week. Its weekly views were slightly higher than CBS Colorado's among the nearby local-news channels, while NBC10 Philadelphia also added subscribers. CBS Pittsburgh's current daily viewing is well above its usual level, with national headlines sharing the channel with the practical local coverage that gives KDKA its Pittsburgh identity.
