The Prestige | Official Announce | Reappearing in Theaters Jan 29

Watch the tank shatter. Disney's brief announcement for The Prestige moves from electrical sparks and a coin trick to an axe breaking through glass, giving away little of a film built around closely guarded secrets.

The rerelease announcement drew about 56,000 views, the largest total among Disney's nine uploads this week. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale play magicians whose partnership turns into an obsession with uncovering each other's methods, with Michael Caine and Scarlett Johansson also starring. Disney bills the return as a celebration of the film's twentieth anniversary, with 70mm, IMAX, 35mm and digital presentations.

The comments offer a miniature history of how people encountered it: one viewer remembers watching it twice back-to-back, another recalls a high-school viewing and wants to revisit it in a theater. Others are puzzling over the Disney connection. The teaser's billing includes both Touchstone Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures.

Elsewhere, Kronk has supplied the week's recurring joke. "Pull the Lever Kronk! | Emperor's New Groove | Official Clip" and its shorter companion, "Wrong leveeerrrrr 🐊😂", currently have the fastest daily viewing among the channel's active titles. A Bao cooking clip and Trevor Pearson's ice-sculpted Arendelle castle add a gentler change of texture.

Disney added roughly six million views across its catalog and gained subscribers over the week. Daily viewing is now more than twice its usual level, while Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios are running below their typical daily pace. For Disney, the freshest burst of momentum belongs to an old lever joke.
