An over-the-shoulder popcorn toss lands in the cauldron. A longer throw from across the studio misses. Walt Disney Animation Studios gives its Hexed campaign a snack break in "Hexed | Popcorn Challenge | In Theaters November 25," the most-watched of its four new uploads this week, with about 29,000 views.

This is a promotional challenge rather than a scene from the film: two actresses test their aim on a themed set, with one eventually sampling the ammunition. In the comments, cinema popcorn prices become part of the joke, alongside the pleasingly ordinary name of a cauldron called Bucket.

Behind that small diversion is a mother-daughter adventure. Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie Doe, whose newly unleashed magic takes her from suburbia into the witch realm of Hexe. Rashida Jones voices her cautious mother, Alice, while Walton Goggins plays an uneasy ally: a reclusive, three-eyed cat named Beef Roger Crummchuk. Jodie Foster supplies the voice of Queen Celeste, determined to hold on to her power.

The other new uploads offer brief Hexed glimpses and a "Look Closer" invitation to inspect its details. The full trailer remains the channel's fastest-moving video, with roughly 3.4 million views, while June's teaser also continues attracting viewers.

Across the channel, daily viewing is below its usual level and subscribers were unchanged over the week. Warner Bros. Entertainment is enjoying a livelier-than-usual daily pace; Pixar is also running below its norm. For Disney Animation, the week's new material stays entirely in Hexe, right down to the popcorn container.
