Hexed | Official Trailer
Who locked that bracelet on Billie Doe's wrist? Her mother did, in the opening seconds of the official Hexed trailer, right after fighting off a shadowy bird that had carried baby Billie toward a glowing doorway. "Love you, little bean," she says. Years later the bracelet snaps open, a teenage Billie tumbles into Hexe, the world of witches, and reaches the obvious conclusion: "I'm a witch."
Hailee Steinfeld voices Billie and Rashida Jones plays her cautious mother, Alice. Walton Goggins is the reclusive three-eyed cat Beef Roger Crummchuk ("Now let's ride!"), and Jodie Foster is Queen Celeste, who wants to keep her power over Hexe forever. Fawn Veerasunthorn, a co-director of Wish, directs with Jason Hand. Jared Bush, who co-directed Zootopia and Encanto, co-wrote the script with Dana Ledoux Miller. The trailer ends on "In theaters Thanksgiving," the holiday slot Disney Animation used for Frozen, Moana, Encanto and Zootopia 2.
The trailer's final joke is the one viewers keep quoting. Billie accidentally blasts a living microwave out of a window, it crashes in the distance insisting it is fine, and the cat delivers the eulogy: "That microwave had a family." The comments have since given the appliance a name and a spouse. Others spot magic brooms near the one-minute mark and see a nod to Fantasia. Some compare this trailer with June's teaser, some guess Billie's grandmother is the villain, and many point out that Alice stays in the adventure instead of waiting at home.
The week's second upload, the Short "Does this mean I can fly now?", points fans to an exclusive look during Monday Night Football. Its description also names two new voices: Tracey Ullman as Ms. Quill, an enchanted feather pen, and Stephen Fry as Elias Quire, a magical journal.
The trailer passed three million views in four days, two million of them in its first. Apart from that, the channel is far quieter than usual, and its subscriber count did not move. Among film studios, its week came close to Pixar's, while DC and Paramount drew much bigger audiences. The June teaser, which carried the channel through September, is still collecting views every day, now as the opening act.

2:21 R.I.P Mike Rowave. He lived a long happy peaceful life with his loving family. 2 kids, a lovely blender wife and a 3rd child on the way. My condolences. 😢
@catshal1067See it on YouTubeIt's a classic "parent hides a child's special secret," but I appreciate that the mom seems to be active in the story the whole way through instead of just waiting at home and worrying.
@HounlaigaSee it on YouTubeHonestly I really like the idea of Billy and her mother's dynamic
@ABadCaseOfPurpleLoverSee it on YouTubeHonestly...this trailer is much better than the last one.
@Ryan-HartwellSee it on YouTubeHonestly I LOVE how colorful this movie looks. So many movies are allergic to vibrant colors these days that it's refreshing when there's one that goes in the complete opposite direction. This is the kind of color grading/contrast I wish the Wicked movies had had, even though those were live-action
@Chrysalis-x8sSee it on YouTubeI bet the villain is Billie's grandmother.
@janibitSee it on YouTubeThe microwave who has a family will return in Avengers: Doomsday
