ELSINORE - Official Trailer [HD] - Only In Theaters November

A new trailer on the Focus Features channel usually has a gentle first day, somewhere around five thousand views. The one for ELSINORE came out moving at a pace of nearly three million a day. For a studio channel that posts trailers as a matter of routine, that is a very different kind of opening.

The film tells the true story of Ian Charleson, the Scottish actor best remembered as the runner Eric Liddell in Chariots of Fire. The description presents it as the story of a gifted actor facing his own mortality with honesty, wit and grace, and of a performance that became a source of healing for the people around him. The title is the name of Hamlet's castle.

Andrew Scott, familiar to many as the priest in Fleabag and as Moriarty in Sherlock, leads the film. The cast list in the tags adds Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn and Joe Locke. The trailer promises a release only in theaters, in November.
