Trump San Antonio rally: Arrests made and multiple people kicked out | FOX 7 Austin
Among the local news stations nearest its size, FOX 7 Austin is the one furthest from its usual pace, with a day of views close to triple its norm. CBS Colorado gathered more views, but it was running much closer to its own ordinary level.
Most of that extra traffic traces back to a single Short. "Trump San Antonio rally: Arrests made and multiple people kicked out" is roughly a minute and a half of raw footage from inside the arena, with the president's voice faint over the sound system. A man stands in Section 120 waving his arms to lead a chant while the people around him point their phones. A young man on the floor raises both arms at the booing stands before security walks him out through a tunnel. Further along, several officers hold someone down in the seats and bring them down the aisle.
The station's description says the president called the people being removed "paid protesters." The rally, held with Ken Paxton, also got a longer report on the channel.
The comment section is where the clip took off. Viewers keep returning to two questions: whether the people led out were simply exercising free speech, and why the scuffles in the stands did not lead to more arrests. A smaller group keeps pointing at the empty seats in the wide shots.
